Fiction Story: Sehaj And Sabba Blog 1

The girl had piercing blue eyes, shining brightly. No one who set their eyes on her at this point, could really believe those are the eyes of a new born baby. She was just a few days old. Round face, very few golden strands of hair, fair and soft skin,  tall in height (as per baby standards off course), beautiful long fingers and a general poise (which will even rankle a wanna be yogi) even though it's difficult to patiently wait for milk while hungry and while your new born mommy is trying to learn how to nurse. So this tiny tot was officially named Sehaj.

Sehaj's mom, Sabba,  wanted a baby boy as her first child, not really because she believed sons are better than daughters but because she felt that girls always end up at the receiving end of many pains and tribulations, especially if born in an traditional Muslim joint family like theirs. But the moment Sabba took one look at her beautiful baby, She decided that she will be the best mother she could be for this child.

And so starts the story of Sehaj and Sabba, strong gusty ladies in their own right.
